This illustration, one of many by self-described “freelance artist and illustrator” David Dees, attempts to provide proof that Zyklon B gas was used to kill lice, not people, during the Holocaust.
The illustration, moreover, claims that the Institute of Forensic Research in Krakow found that there were no traces of Zyklon B in the “homicidal gas chambers.” This information, however, is false. The institute has confirmed traces of the chemical in areas where Jews were gassed.
By presenting what he says is fact, though unsupported by any credible evidence, Dees seeks to make his viewers question what they have been taught about the Holocaust.
This, like many of his other illustrations, has circulated across the Internet in hate forums, extremist email groups and Holocaust denial websites.
