Ruth Bader Ginsburg assumes office as the first Jewish female Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Speaking on Holocaust denial, she famously said: “In the United States, I still believe that the way to fight bad speech is not to ban it, but to fight it with true speech. To use the opportunity to educate people unto the falsehoods that others are speaking, but not to close down the right to speak. That's much too precious.”
