The earliest form of The Protocols of the Elders of Zion were published in the Russian daily newspaper Znamya. A rip-off of a French political satire, the anti-Semitic forgery claims to describe a meeting between Jewish leaders, and is the leading source for the modern-day conspiracy theory stating Jews are trying to take over the world.
