Russia, once an extremely anti-Semitic country, has become an “Island of Peace” for Jews since the fall of the Soviet State

 

On April 5, 2013, the Expert Group on Anti-Semitism of the Russian Jewish Community, created several years ago with the support of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress (EAJC) presented its report on “Anti-Semitism in Russia in 2011-2012.” Authors of the research concluded that animosity toward Jewish people in Russia is fairly uncommon, although they mentioned worrying manifestations of it among some nationalists, Muslims, and government officials.

Report reveals that hatred of Jews is endemic among Belgian Muslim teenagers

Muslim youth in the Flanders region of Belgium - nearly 80 percent - believe that you need to be extra careful if you are doing business with Jews and nearly three-quarters that Jews have too much influence in Flanders. Same percentage believes that Jews think they are better than others.

A SPCJ report shows that French Jewry during the last decade has faced many anti-Semitic incidents with some years worse than others

 

Is anti-Semitism skyrocketing in France, home to the largest Jewish population in Europe? According to a report published Wednesday by SPCJ (Service de Protection de la Communauté Juive), the security unit of the Jewish communities of France, 2012 was “a year of unprecedented violence against Jews in France,” with 614 anti-Semitic incidents in 2012 as compared to 389 such incidents in 2011. This was a 58 percent increase in the number of anti-Semitic incidents.

Report on anti-Semitism in Argentina for the year 2011 shows rise of hatred on the internet

A report issued by Jewish umbrella organization DAIA on December 18, 2012 shows a small rise in anti-Semitic incidents during the year 2011, but significant change in methods of aggression. Report by the Community Security Trust examines anti-Semitic discourse in Britain in 2011

 

Britain’s Community Security Trust issued a report on Nov. 29, 2012 regarding anti-Semitic discourse in Britain in 2011. They found explicit anti-Semitic statements are rare in Britain, and Jews have largely avoided blame for recent economic troubles, but Zionism was frequently vilified. The Community Security Trust considers it important to study anti-Semitic discourse because such talk can fuel anti-Semitic race hate attacks against Jews and Jewish institutions, and may leave Jews feeling isolated, vulnerable and hurt.

ADL 2011 Audit of Anti-Semitic Incidents shows a decline in overall anti-Semitic incidents but significant numbers of school bullying incidents and vandalisms

 

The Anti-Defamation League's annual Audit of Anti-Semitic Incidents, posted on Oct. 29, 2012, recorded 1,080 anti-Semitic incidents in the United States in 2011, representing a 13% decrease from the 1,239 incidents reported in 2010.

Report on extent of anti-Israel events on North American college campuses

 

The American-Israeli Cooperative Enterprise released the findings of its new study, “Israel and the Campus: The Real Story,” on October 30, 2012. The report investigates the extent to which an anti-Israel atmosphere exists on American college campuses. They found that few campuses experience anti-Israel events. While Jewish students report a high level of anti-Semitism on campuses, this was not found to be primarily due to a well-funded and organized network promoting the delegitimization of Israel.

CST report reveals that anti-Semitism in the UK remains steady after its peak in 2009

 

A report published in the last week of September 2012 by the Community Security Trust (CST) shows that anti-Semitic incidents in the UK were at about the same level during the months January- June 2012 as they were last year.

Two reports document crude expressions of hatred against Jews in Venezuela

 

The upsurge in anti-Semitism in Venezuela since the advent to power of Hugo Chavez reached new heights with the election as opposition candidate of Henrique Capriles Radonski, a Catholic of Jewish descent, to run against Chavez in the October 7, 2012 presidential election.

Two reports came out recently documenting how the State media and supporters of Chavez, who has ruled Venezuela for the past 14 years, regularly “vilify” his opponent, Henrique Capriles Radonski, derisively referring to his Jewish roots.

In a report on anti-Semitism in Spain in 2011, the Observatorio de Antisemitismo counted more than 1,000 anti-Semitic sites and web pages that were created in Spain

 

In a report released in May 2012 on anti-Semitism in Spain for the year 2011, the Observatorio de Antisemitismo counted more than 1,000 anti-Semitic sites and web pages that it said were created in Spain. Norway report on anti-Semitism finds a low level of direct prejudice against Jews, but significant anti-Semitic attitudes tied to views about the Israel-Arab conflict

A report was published in May of 2012 of results from a survey of Norwegian attitudes toward Jews and other minorities undertaken by the Center for Studies of the Holocaust and Religious Minorities (HL-center). According to the researchers, prejudice in Norway was quite small, and in a European context, the prevalence of anti-Semitic notions in Norway is on a par with Great Britain, the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden.

Oslo Municipality Report in 2011 showed one third of Jewish pupils are physically threatened or abused

 

In June 2011, a survey by the Oslo Municipality found that 33 per cent of Jewish students in Oslo are physically threatened or abused by other high school teens at least two to three times a month (compared to 10% for Buddhists and 5.3% of Muslims).

Annual report on anti-Semitism in the Czech Republic for 2011

The level of anti-Semitism has been low and stable in the Czech Republic for the past few years, unlike in other European countries, says an annual report on anti-Semitism symptoms in the country in 2011 that the Jewish Community released on May 3, 2012.

Anti-Semitism Report of the Kantor Center at Tel Aviv University for the year 2011: Rise in incitement and harassment while decline in the number of major violent incidents

 

The Kantor Center's Program for Study of Anti-Semitism and Racism at Tel Aviv University released their 2011 Anti-Semitism Report on April 18, 2012. The report noted both a "continuation and even escalation of harassment and incitement" and a "considerable decline in major violent incidents world wide" targeting Jews during 2011. The report warns however that in the past few years the scope and brutality of anti-Semitic attacks has risen.

Anti-Defamation League (ADL) Survey In Ten European Countries Finds Anti-Semitism At Disturbingly High Levels

 

Anti-Semitic attitudes in ten European countries remain at "disturbingly high levels," according to a new poll from the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) released on March 20, 2012, with large swaths of the population subscribing to classical anti-Semitic notions such as Jews having too much power in business, being more loyal to Israel than their own country, or "talking too much" about what happened during the Holocaust.

Report reveals a 28% increase in the number of recorded anti-Semitic acts in French-speaking Switzerland for the year 2011

 

The number of recorded anti-Semitic acts in French-speaking Switzerland increased by 28% in 2011 from the previous year, CICAD, a Geneva-based body that coordinates the fight against anti-Semitism and defamation, announced in its annual report.

 

Report shows a 16.5% drop in anti-Semitism in France for the year 2011

 

A study released by the French service for the protection of the Jewish community (SPCJ) together with the French Interior Ministry reported a 16.5% drop in anti-Semitism in France for the year 2011. There are between 483,000 and 500,000 Jews in France making French Jews the world's third largest Jewish community.

Community Security Trust (CST) reports Anti-Semitic incidents fell in the UK by 9 % in 2011

Arab Spring has proven to be problematic for the Jews

A report released on Jan. 22, 2012 and written by scholars at the Kantor Center for the Study of Contemporary European Jewry at Tel Aviv University, says: “[While] the popular uprisings in the Arab world do not represent a general change in attitude towards Israel, Zionism and the Jews it seems the anti-Semitic discourse and incitement have become more extreme and violent.”

Report finds anti-Semitism on American university campuses and Anti-Israel indoctrination

An initial summary of findings from the study of Religious Tolerance on Campus was published by the Institute for Jewish & Community Research (IJCR ) in December of 2011. The report is titled “ALONE ON THE QUAD: Understanding Jewish Student Isolation on Campus” and is based on a survey of over 1,400 students in the USA, including oversamples of minority religious groups. It is one of the largest and most comprehensive surveys of its kind.
