A family of five Jews was viciously slaughtered by knife as they slept in their home on Saturday night. Parents Ruth and Udi Fogel, aged 35 and 36, their three-month-old baby daughter Hadas, and their sons Elad (3) and Yoav (11) were brutally killed. Pictures of the family home after the attack leave viewers shocked at the utter inhumanity of the person who could butcher children with his own hands in such a way.

As terrible as this murder was, the reactions to it in two quarters - among the Palestinians and in the Western Media - were also horrifying.

The Jewish people are today confronted with innumerable variations of this ancient curse, both old and new, all gaining renewed power from state sponsors and from modern technology.
