A fake article attributed to Aaron Marcus asserted that “history has given the Third Reich a bad name” and was titled, “What About the Good Things Hitler Did?” in The Medium’s parody issue of the campus' actual newspaper. Aaron Marcus, the student targeted in the newspaper is a Rutgers senior who writes a pro-Israel column in The Targum – the official student newspaper - in which he is often critical of anti-Israel events on campus.

Pro-Israel students at 75 universities across the US and Canada are participating in “Israel peace Week” from Feb. 26 until March 9, 2012. The grassroots initiative has “a simple, positive message according to organizers: Israel wants peace and has demonstrated its willingness to make painful sacrifices for peace.”
A student who had to listen to a lecturer’s anti-Semitic statements during a physics class at the the Karl-Friedrich-Gymnasium complained, and a police investigation was initiated.
